Global engineering group, Cavotec MSL, is pleased to announce its new MC-CD radio is now approved for use in the United States and Canada, after gaining certification from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC). ”These certifications are key breakthroughs for Cavotec in the North American market – one of crucial importance to the business,” says Morten Bjerkholt, Cavotec Microcontrol sales manager.
Readily adaptable for use in a vast range of applications from construction to the offshore energy industry, Cavotec’s MC-CD radio operates between 458.525 MHz to 459.175 MHz, with output power of 10mW. The model is available in two versions, the MC-CD-PLL and the MC-CD-TRX. The CDPLL is designed for use with older systems, while the CD-TRX is compatible with all new devices.
The MC-CD on 458 MHz replaces the 440C in the US and Canadian markets.
