Project Manager

Responsible for managing and coordinating with customers, engineering, operations, contractors, service resources, and processes to ensure our projects are delivered according to spec, on time and to the customers satisfaction.

Summary:
Help build Cavotec’s ability as a total system provider in the Ports and Maritime industry by developing detailed project plans, perform risk analysis, cost management and ensuring resource availability and allocation to deliver every project on time within budget and scope.
Responsible for managing and coordinating with customers, engineering, operations, contractors, service resources, and processes to ensure our projects are delivered according to spec, on time and to the customers satisfaction. Be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. Coordinate cross functional resources in project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, internal and external.
- Prior to contract closing assist sales department in identifying project risks and make recommendation to improve contract conditions.
- After contract award, attend the kick-off meeting (initiated by Sales) and develop a detailed project plan including project schedule and budget (as sold) to track progress.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Liaise with technical team and the service team to ensure good alignment and smooth execution from bid-phase to completed commissioning
- Create and track financial overview of the project, controlling cost and cashflow in projects.
- Negotiate changes orders (variation order) with the customer due to customer requested modifications in project scope, schedule and/or deliverables.
- If required, deploy to project sites in order to supervise the execution of the contract.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform continuous risk identification and management.
- Coordinate, allocate and ensure availability of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Maintain and distribute project documentation internal and external
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Identify, develop and improve processes for project execution.
- Assist in Project proposal generation advising on lead time and other if required
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or equivalent background expertise required.
- 5 years Experience in project management roles.
- Worked in a global, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Solid Project Management skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
- Project planning and tracking tools.
- Budgeting and Costing skills.
