Your mission
As a Service and Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating service operations and service-related projects in Finland, ensuring efficient service delivery, customer satisfaction, cost control, and compliance with company and statutory requirements.
Key Responsabilities
- Coordinate and plan field service activities and job assignments for Field Service Technicians/Engineers across Finland.
- Line management responsibility for the local FST/E team (currently 5 employees), including personnel responsibility, yearly appraisals, performance management, and competence development.
- Ensure effective resource planning and utilisation to meet customer and contractual commitments.
- Act as the main point of contact for SLA customers in the Finnish region and manage service escalations when required.
- Approve invoices, timesheets, travel expenses, and other service-related costs in accordance with company policies.
- Follow up on service execution to ensure all work hours, costs, and materials are correctly recorded for invoicing purposes.
- Manage and maintain the local spare parts storage at the Espoo office, including procurement from local suppliers and internal purchasing.
- Ensure accurate recording of parts in/out, perform warehouse audits, and carry out periodic stock counting.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, spare parts, sales, and finance to support service and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and promote safe working practices.
- Support identification of service-related sales opportunities and contribute to service growth in the region.
What we are looking for
- Technical education, vocational training, or engineering background
- Proven experience in service operations, service coordination, or service management
- Previous people management experience
- ERP and service management system experience
- Financial understanding related to service costing, invoicing, and follow-up
- Mechanical or electrical site work experience is considered an advantage
- Ability to act as Electrical Safety Representative according to Finnish legislation, enabling registration of Cavotec and allowing technicians/engineers to perform electrical work on Cavotec equipment in compliance with Finnish and European regulations (desired)
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in Finnish and English
Location: Office based in Espoo with travel within Nordics & Baltics as required
