Panzerbelt
Panzerbelt® is a proven cable protection system designed to safeguard power cables from mechanical damage, debris, and spillage in ports, container terminals, shipyards, and heavy industry sites. The system features a continuous semi-flexible belt made of rubber with inlaid steel reinforcement, which lies over a channel cast in the quay. One edge of the belt is fixed to the quay while the other is lifted by a cable guide and belt-lifting device fitted to cranes, combining strength, flexibility, and durability. Originally introduced in 1976 to replace antiquated steel trench covers, Panzerbelt® is now in operation at over 550 installations worldwide, with more than 280 km of belt installed. It efficiently protects cables under all types of cross-traffic from container yard vehicles, prevents spillage from entering the cable channel, and eliminates above-ground hazards, all with minimal maintenance. Applications: Ship-to-shore (STS) cranes Electrified rubber-tyred gantry (E-RTG) cranes Container terminals, ports, shipyards, steel mills, and other heavy industry environments Key Benefits: Replaces steel trench covers, reducing trip hazards and maintenance Supports smooth, quiet operation with no limitation on crane travel speeds Two versions: Standard Panzerbelt® for light traffic, Super Panzerbelt® for heavy traffic Corrosion-resistant construction for dockside environments Exceptional cable protection from mechanical damage, debris, spillage, sunlight, and personnel contact Panzerbelt® combines decades of practical experience with innovative design, delivering a durable, low-maintenance solution that keeps port and industrial operations running safely and efficiently.

Turn Over Anchor
Cavotec’s Turnover Anchor system provides a robust and user-friendly solution for connecting and managing power cables in port and terminal applications such as STS, E-RTG, and ASC cranes. Each system integrates a stainless steel turnover anchor, access cover, junction box, and connectors, ensuring a secure and efficient interface between fixed and mobile equipment. Available in single or double configurations, the Turnover Anchor allows one or more cranes to operate on the same power block—optimizing space and reducing cable tension. The system’s assisted opening mechanism (gas spring or counterweight) enables safe, single-operator handling and simplified maintenance. A fibreglass pit ensures quick installation, while the drum system maintains optimal cable alignment and minimises mechanical stress, resulting in longer cable lifetime and reduced maintenance requirements.
